Discovering - Family History in Early Texas Cemeteries

Workshop presenters: Deborah Burkett and Gordon Bennett. Attendees will receive handouts with tips for genealogical research and also learn the history of our oldest cemeteries in Cherokee County. Handouts include printed suggestions for cleaning cemetery gravestones and correct cleaning solutions and tools will be on display. Join us for a fun and informative time!!! If you have family buried in the Old Jacksonville City Cemetery on Kickapoo Street, let us know. Its Jacksonville's 150th Birthday and we're very interested in these family connections. Tuesday May 17th, 12 to 2 pm. Come and Go! Stop by and pick up an information packet and share your family history. Location: Jacksonville Public Library.
